Our History
Ben’s Paint Supply is one of the largest distributors of specialty paint and related supplies in the Southeast, with 11 locations serving more than 25 counties in West Central, Central and North East Florida.
1968
Ben Kimball founded Ben’s Auto Marine Supply, Inc.
1970’s
Ben’s grows and establishes market share in Volusia County. Takes on their first paint line in 1976.
1980’s
- 1981 Moves the Daytona store into its current location. Begins operating as Ben’s Paint Supply
- 1982 Opens our 2nd location in Deland store
- 1983 Opens our 3rd location in New Smyrna Beach
1990’s
- 1995 Opens our 4th location in Gainesville
- 1998 Opens our 5th location in Longwood
- 1999 Opens our 6th location in Orlando
2000’s
- 2000 Opens our 7th location in Kissimmee
- 2003 – Named PPG Platinum Distributor of the Year
- 2003 – Named 3M Platinum Distributor of the Year
- 2007 – Acquires Central Automotive Refinishing Supply in Lakeland and Winter Haven for our 8th store location
2010’s
- 2013 Acquires American Icon in Pinellas Park for our 9th store location
- 2015 Acquires 1st Choice Auto Paint Supply for our 10th store location
- 2017 Acquires National Coatings and Supplies Winter Haven Location
2020’s

Ben’s Paint Supply is a PPG Platinum distributor with access to a complete range of paint lines, representative services, and business schools. We offer popular coatings such as Deltron, Global, Nexa, Shopline, Defleet, Essential, Concept, Envirobase, and the wild Vibrance collection, all working together.
Custom Finishes & Restoration
Ben’s Paint Supply offers quality equipment from brands like DeVilbiss, Iwata, Paasche, Sata, Tekna, and more. They stock specialty abrasives, masking tapes, papers, compounds, and polishes. Ben’s can provide you with original colors and use the PPG Prophet color-match computer to find a match if needed. We offer basecoat/clearcoat and single-stage systems for restoration and car shows.
Fleet & Commercial
Ben’s Paint Supply offers PPG’s Delfleet high-end polyurethane coating, which is durable, corrosion-resistant, and available in 3 basecoats and 6 single-stage qualities. We also have affordable PPG’s Commercial Performance Coatings (CPC) for fleet and industrial use.
Industrial
Ben’s offers a surprising variety of unique industrial coatings, some requiring special ordering. PPG’s CPC products are a complete line suited for almost every need, available in enamel, acrylic enamel, lacquer, urethane, and a wide selection of corrosion-resistant and filler primers.
Marine & Aircraft
We offer marine paints, polyester, and epoxy repair products. We recommend PPG’s Delfleet and Delfleet Essential coatings for top performance and color selection.
