  Ben's Training

Welcome to the Industrial paint training page for Ben's Paint Supply.  PPG offers classes in their CPC (Commercial Performance Coatings) line.  Amercoat also has various classes, but presently none local in Florida.  We are continuing to research educational opportunites for industrial painters.  Check out Schools & Classes below to see what is available.

One good source of information is a guide book from the DeVilbiss spray equipment company called the ABC's of Painting.  This booklet is not as elementary as the name makes it sound.  It covers all aspects of spray painting, from sizing the air compressor, shop piping and proper air filtration to various spray gun usage techniques and troubleshooting.  It is excellent for both the beginner and the professional (and the shop foreman too!).

However, the book does not go into more exotic methods of spray painting, such as airless, air-assisted airless, diaphragm pumps, electrostatic, rotary bell electrostatic and automated equipment.  Although at the present time we are not able to sell this type of equipment, it doesn't mean we can't help you learn about it.  We recognize that what we are authorized to sell - the paint - can and will be used with some of these systems so we feel it necessary to focus on that type of education as well.
